Samsung washing machines have been urgently recalled after a model caught fire due to a manufacturing issue.
The machines have a fault where condensation is able to reach an electrical connector which has the potential to catch alight.
This is following an earlier recall of 2.8 million affected Samsung washing machines in 2016 after reports of their machines “exploding” and a previous recall of 150,000 washing machines in 2013, that had been found to cause fires.
Recent times have seen millions of domestic appliances found to be unsafe with Whirlpool, Hotpoint, Creda, Proline and Swan, Ariston and Indesit brands recalling over 100 models, extending to over 1million machines, due to manufacturing faults found, causing them to catch fire. In cases leading to injury and death, with multiple law suits already underway against the manufacturers.
It is thought that possibly over 1 million dangerous machines are still in use, posing a fire risk and CLM urge anyone with concerns to make contact, in order to gain a FREE safety check, with make, model and serial number
